7 Signs It's Time to Stop Shopping and Clean Out Your Closet!

I love shopping as much as the next girl, but there is such a thing as having too many clothes! So before you go shopping again, at least go through your closet and see what's going on in there! If any of the following statements are true then you definitely need to give that debit card a break.

1.

It's completely filled to the brim...like seriously, nothing else can fit in there!

2.

You only bought (insert item here) because it was on sale or in your favorite color.

3.

If you were in a hurry to get dressed, you wouldn't easily be able to find what you were looking for.

4.

You find items in your closet you don't remember buying and they still have tags on it.

5.

You find items so old and dated they could be worn to a costume party.

6.

A lot of the items don't fit or are unflattering to your body shape.

7.

Even though you like the stuff in your closet, you end up wearing the same few items.

Don't worry we can fix this! It's time to organize that closet, so grab a cup of coffee, turn on some music and get started!

Begin by emptying out the contents of the closet into 3 piles; keep, toss, or donate. Keep all the things you wear on a regular basis that fit and compliment your body shape. Toss anything ripped or stained that you have no intention of getting fixed. Donate all those items you've had for years that you're never going to wear or don't need to wear because it's outdated or unflattering.

Now, doesn't feel great to have a clean closet, saved money, and a sense of what your actual style might be? Pay attention to everything you kept, because those are the colors and styles you actually love to wear. Take note of those things and curate a minimalist wardrobe. Repeat this closet cleanse at least once a year for best results!
